Robert Edward Michalak

Robert E. Michalak, 82, of Toledo, OH, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on August 11, 1939 in Toledo, OH to Edward and Helen (Tushman) Michalak. Robert was a graduate of Woodward High School. He began his employment career at Dana and went on to work for the Chrysler Corporation in Perrysburg for over 20 years. Robert loved spending time in the Upper Peninsula at his cottage in Newberry, MI as well as Traverse City, whether snowmobiling, fishing, or going to wine tastings. He was also an excellent cook. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance, MI.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert E. Michalak Jr.; sisters, Rose Lyczkowski and Harriet Miller; brother, Rich (Joyce) Michalak; grandchildren, Robert, Sammi Jo, and Ryann Michalak, Madison Roth, and McKinley Michalak; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan Molnar-Michalak; and daughter, Ann Marie Michalak.

Visitation will be Monday, February 28 from 2-6 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.
