Robert C. "Bob" Crawford

Robert C. “Bob” Crawford, age 89, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 11, 2025.  He was born June 4, 1935, in Toledo, OH to Charles and Martha (Zakrzewski) Crawford. Bob was a graduate of Central High School and worked in management for Ohio Bell/AT&T for 35 years. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, particularly on their annual vacation in Canada.  He was incredibly organized and took pride in his systems and processes.  He was also talented in carpentry – making many personalized renovations to his home. His enjoyments in life included tennis, music, sailing, his movie collection and investing. He had a soft spot for stray animals, taking in numerous dogs and cats over the years and improving their lives. All the cats in the neighborhood knew they could always find a meal at the Crawford house.

The family gives a special thank you to Heather West and all of Bob’s caregivers for their friendship and caring.

Bob is survived by his children, David (Nancy) Crawford and Nancy (Rick McGuckin) Crawford; grandchildren, Jon (Megan) Crawford, Jake (Cortney Brooks) Crawford, and Jess (John) Feller; great-grandchildren, Stella, Audrey, and Nora; and sister, Mary Alice Kish. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Crawford on September 6, 2006.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 1-4 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., Toledo, OH. A brief service and memories of Bob will be shared by family and friends starting at 4 p.m.
