Ronald Joseph Grubinski

Ronald Joseph Grubinski, 81, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Toledo Hospital surrounded by family. He was born on April 25, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio to Harry and Wanda (Rybak) Grubinski who preceded him in death.

Ron married Judy Leal on April 22, 1963; she survives. He is also survived by children, Kim (Bill) McCally and Kevin (Kendra) Grubinski; grandchildren, Josh (Jenna) Way, Courtney Way, Anthony McCally, Julia (Eric) Momenee, Emma, Joey (Brie), and Scarlett Grubinski; great-grandchildren, Jaden and Joseph Way, Logan, Mya, and Dominik; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Grubinski; sister, Barbara Karamol; and great-granddaughter, Jordynn Way.

Ron was a hard worker, having spent 31+ years and retired from the GM (Hydromatic) plant. He also spent several years as a mechanic at Junction Garage. He loved watching sports, especially the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, Toledo Rockets, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved to fish and take a drive. He loved his family and enjoyed attending their events.

Services will be held at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. on Saturday, May 10 at 11am. Calling Hours will be Friday, May 9th from 5-8p and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. The family asks that you wear jeans and your favorite sports’ team shirt.
