Rosa Flores, 95, formerly of Stickney Avenue in Toledo, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026. She was born August 30, 1930, in San Marcos, Texas, to Juan and Guadalupe (Maldonado) Flores. Growing up in Texas, Rosa worked in the fields and was a talented seamstress. After moving to Toledo, she worked as a spot welder at City Auto Stamping and became a member of the UAW. She also worked at and was a former co-owner of La Perla Tortilla Bakery. She was a longtime parishioner of the former Good Shepherd Catholic Church. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Rosa took great pride in her family heritage. She enjoyed Mexican music and loved preparing traditional Mexican dishes for her family.
Rosa is survived by her children, Francisco (April) Osuna Jr., José Louis Osuna, Rosemary (Mike) Lunsford, Alicia (Rick) French, Debbie Perreault; Irene (Tony) Martin, Louis (Teresa) Gallardo, Felix Gallardo, and Gregory Gallardo; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; very special to her heart son-in-law, Robert Martin; daughter-in-law, Maryann Jarouche; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Juan Osuna; granddaughter, Misty McClung; and grandson, Miguel Osuna.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 21 from 3-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. Funeral services will begin Monday, June 22 at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Historic Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Toledo.
