Rose Marie Amborski, age 87, of Toledo departed this life Monday, January 30, 2023 at the Point Place Care and Rehabilitation Center where she had resided the past 5 years. She was born January 23, 1936 in Toledo, OH to Adam and Anna (Kotovich) Majewski. Rose Marie was a graduate of St. Adalbert Grade School and Whitney Vocational High School. Her places of employment included Tiedtke’s in downtown Toledo, and the Kmart on Manhattan Blvd., where she worked in accounting, as a department manager, and in charge of layaway. She retired from Kmart at age 62 after 30 years. Rose Marie was an amazing cook and a skilled gardener. An avid bowler for many years, she also loved camping, and spent many weekends with friends at Betty Ann’s Country Campground on Yawberg Rd., Whitehouse, OH. She was a former parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church.
Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Edward Stanley Amborski. She is survived by her son, Joe (Barbara) Amborski; grandchildren, Jennevieve Amborski and Michael Amborski; siblings, Martha Majewski, Anthony Majewski, and Phyllis (Les) Taylor; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 4 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The funeral service will begin in the funeral home at 12 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
