Rose Mary Nowicki

Rose Mary Nowicki, age 80, of Perrysburg, OH passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio’s Toledo facility with her loving family at her side. She was born November 27, 1942 in Toledo, OH to Melvin and Raphael (Slomowicz) Katafiasz. Rose was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, “Class of 1960”.  She worked over the years at Beakas Cleaners, J&K Drugs, Maritz Market Research, and Genoa Savings. Her most cherished role, however, was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Rose’s sons and grandchildren were her world. She was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for the family. She was also a number one fan at all their events. A former parishioner of Little Flower Catholic Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee where she served as a eucharistic minister, she was a current member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church.

Rose is survived by her devoted husband 60 years, Joseph Nowicki (Married September 14, 1963); sons, Mike (Karen) and Mark (Dawn) Nowicki; grandchildren, Celina, Corinna, Nate, and Jillian; and brother, Louis (Mary Lou) Katafiasz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Raphael; and brother, Joe Katafiasz.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 12 at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. from 2-8 p.m. with praying of the Rosary at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, November 13 at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church at 11 a.m. preceded by visitation at the church from 10-11 a.m. The Mass will also be live-streamed at www.toledostpats.org. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
