Rosemarie (Rosemary) Albitz, 93 passed away peacefully on Sunday June 30th, 2024 to join her husband Ernie. Rosemary married Ernie on May 26, 1951 and celebrated 45 years together before Ernie's passing in September, 1996. She is survived by her beloved children, Susan (Bob) Williams, Stephen (Beth) Albitz, and Teresa Thompson; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her longtime friend, Betty Horvath. She really enjoyed all those card games. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband Ernie; parents, John and Lucy (Pilaczynski) Osinski; sisters, Lillian (Stanley) Mazurek, Harriet (Chet) Jacobs, Sister M. Lucilla OSF, and Helen (John) Stasiak; brother, John (Delores) Osinski; daughter, Ilene Riston; and grandson, Christopher Riston. Mom said she felt like the last of the Mohicans in her family. We believe she is reunited with all those family and friends that preceded her with one of the greetings she receives: "What took you so long?" We can all take comfort knowing she did not fear death, but rather welcomed it. She always told us that there was a much better place we are going than where we have been.
Friends and family will be received from 3 - 8 p.m. on Friday, July 5 at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 East Alexis Rd. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Regina Coeli Church. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
Any tributes may be in the form of contributions to the Sisters of St. Francis, Sylvania, Ohio, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. A special thanks goes out to Kelly, Tamara and the entire Hospice team for helping Mom make the transition to her next adventure. We would also like to thank Kingston of Perrysburg assisted living for their care and support, mom really enjoyed those bingo games.
