Rosemary Joan McManus

Rosemary Joan McManus, age 79, formerly of Kipling Dr. in Toledo, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Genacross Wolf Creek surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 15, 1947, in Toledo, OH to James and June (Nusbaum) Welzbacher.  Rosemary was a graduate of Whitmer High School. She worked for E.I. DuPont for 18 years, and as an office worker for the Inmont Corporation for 7 years. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend – she will be dearly missed.

Rosemary is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Mike) Stevens, Bethany McManus, and Deborah (Steven) Matthews; sisters, Susan Krasniewski and Janet Mendis; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; and nieces and nephews including special niece and devoted caregiver, Wendy Steusloff. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald “Mac” McManus; brother, James Welzbacher; granddaughter, Makayla Rose Haslett; and great-grandchildren, La’Mya Reid and Parker James Brubaker.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 7 from 2-7 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a rosary at 6 p.m. Funeral services will begin Friday, May 8, at 9:45 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. Catherine of Siena Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Temperance, MI.
