Samuel Arthur Miller, age 67, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio’s Perrysburg facility. He was born on January 9, 1958 in Toledo, OH to Arthur and Arlene (Sutton) Miller. He attended Churchill High School in Pittsburgh, PA, were he met the love of his life Ellen Humberston. Sam worked in construction for Miller Brothers Construction Company for over 20 years, as well as his own company, Sam Miller Asphalt for 40 years. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Sam worked tirelessly 7 days a week and was happiest providing for his beloved family. When he did take time away, he enjoyed boating, spending time with family and friends, and was a fan of the Detroit Lions and Tigers.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ellen (Humberston) Miller; son, Samuel A. Miller III; and sisters, Debbie and Judy. He is survived by his daughter, Kristin (Christopher) Cicerella; grandchildren, Lillian and Kennedi Cicerella; sister, Cheri (Tom) Stevenson, brother, Craig Miller and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may gather to remember and celebrate Sam’s life on Saturday, April 12 from 11 – 2 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
