Stephanie Jankowski Obituary

Stephanie Teresa Jankowski, age 97, of Toledo’s Point Place Community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 3, 1921 in Toledo, OH to Andrew and Agnes (Kleparek) Kubicki. Stephanie worked at Bobb’s Cleaners, Pierless Plastic, and Cort Cosmetics. A licensed beautician, she was owner and operator of Stephanie’s Couffier for 15 years. She was a former parishioner of St. Hedwig Catholic Church and current member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Stephanie was a talented artist who also excelled in sewing, knitting and crafts. She enjoyed golfing and playing at Bayview Golf Club on several ladies’ leagues. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Stephanie is survived by her sons, Richard (Mary Ann) and Kenneth Jankowski; grandchildren, Christine Jankowski, Jane (John) Gray, Rick (Paige) Jankowski, Corrine (Jeff) Gerber, Karey (Brian) Grabowski, and K.C. Jankowski; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Ben, Ryan, Matthew, Reagan, Zoey, Nathan, Lucas, Gracie, Dylan, Blake, and Kenley; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Jankowski; great-grandsons, Devon and Tyler; brothers, Frank and Walter Kubicki; and sisters, Kazmira Kubicki, Marie Suwinski, and Helen Sankovich. Visitation will be Monday from 3-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. John the Baptist Church.
