Suzanne Therese Szyskowski

Suzanne Szyskowski, age 91, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Kingston of Sylvania surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 24, 1931 in Toledo, OH to Vincent and Louise (Gnacinski) Ignatowicz.  Suzanne attended The University of Toledo and was employed as a secretary for 10 years at Owens Corning Fiberglass.  A longtime parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, she was an active member of the Altar Rosary Society, having served as secretary and a regular worker for the funeral luncheon program. She was also a member and former secretary of the Salesians, and a dedicated volunteer at Mercy St. Anne Hospital. Suzanne enjoyed watching sports and was a big fan of the UT Rockets. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Suzanne is survived by her sons, James (Mary) and Kevin Szyskowski; grandchildren, Joseph Szyskowski, Brian (Amanda) Szyskowski, and Shane (Jennifer) Brion; and great-grandchildren, Aidon and Brody Brion, Sadie, Darcie, Shelbie, and Delanie Szyskowski; and Samuel and Henry Renfro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Szyskowski; daughter-in-law, Susan Szyskowski; sister, Helen Marzec; brother, Edwin Ignatowicz; and infant son, Mark.

The Funeral Mass for Suzanne will be Tuesday, November 14 at 11 a.m. in Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Parkway, preceded by visitation in the church narthex from 10-11 a.m.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
