Theodore J. "Ted" Michalski

Theodore J. “Ted” Michalski, age 96, of Toledo passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 5, 1926, in Toledo, OH to Michael and Stefania (Konieczka) Michalski. Ted was a Veteran of the US Army, having served in WWII. He worked at the Jeep Plant on Central Ave. and North Cove Blvd. as an assembler, as well as in the departments of Fire Maintenance, Small Paints, and Sanitation. He retired from Jeep in 1985 after 41 years and 7 months of employment. Ted was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and family man. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was a longtime parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.

Ted is survived by his wife, Patricia (Szych) Michalski; daughters, Linda (Robert) Antkowiak, Karen (William) Ozuk, and Elaine (James) Underwood; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Harriett Celian, Irene LaPlante, Alice Grudzinski; and brothers Frank, John, Roman, Stanley, Pete, and Daniel Michalski. 

Visitation will be Monday, February 6 from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd.  Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Regina Coeli Church at 12:30 p.m.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors led by the Northwood VFW Post 2984 Burial Corps.
