Troy Andrew Yost, 51, passed away on December 14, 2020. Born on February 18, 1969 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the beloved son of Tom and Sharon (deceased) Yost, loving father to Dylan, Carly, and Rachel and loving brother to Terrie Kovacs (Joe), Tim (Brenda), Tony, and Tricia (Karla).
Troy, known to some as RC, TroyBoy, Snugs, Rugged Chump, and Troysie McMud, had a fun spirit and was liked by all. His laughter and sense of humor was contagious. He attended Blessed Sacrament grade school and Central Catholic High School, class of 1987. As a senior in High School, he was an active member of DECA and was voted Super Fella by his classmates. He loved to play and be involved in sports. In grade school he played baseball, football, and hockey. As an 8th grader, he was a star quarterback and led the Blessed Sacrament Chargers to a Toy Bowl victory. In his adult life, Troy was a diehard Notre Dame Fan and he enjoyed playing softball, golf, and was a hockey referee for the local travel and high school leagues.
As a father, he was dedicated to his children and being involved in their growth. He will be especially missed by Dylan, who is a Down Syndrome child.
Troy was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Yost, and nieces Emily Kovacs and Laura Yost.
The Memorial service for Troy will be Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Pkwy, Toledo at 11 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow in Kotz Hall.
