William James Etue

  William J. Etue, age 71, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022.  William was born on January 23, 1951 in Toledo to Merlin and Evelyn (Miller) Etue.  After graduating from Mason High School, William spent the next five years at Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union Trade school.  On November 20, 1971, he married the love of his life, Karen.  The couple moved to Corbin, Kentucky, where William worked as a sheet metal worker for CSX Railroad until retiring in 2011.  William was a skilled woodworker, who supported his wife in her love of crafts by making benches and chairs.  He also enjoyed fishing, and loved riding his Harley Sportster Motorcycle.  A caring and devoted husband, and a wonderful father and grandfather, he will be dearly missed.

  William is survived by his wife, Karen (Houck) Etue; father, Merlin James Etue of Knoxville, Tennessee; son, William Michael (Charlotte) Etue; and grandson, Vincent Michael Etue.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Etue.

  Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, from 2-7 p.m. in the Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114-128 East Alexis Rd.
